Hi my loves, How are you? I’m very well thank you. I’m really enjoying the Easter break and we’ve got another week before we go back, hoorah x x
Yesterday I took Daisy and Charlie on the train to Leicester to do a bit of shopping. I love shopping in different places and I’d not been to Leicester in years. There are some lovely little boutique shops on The Lanes in Leicester which are sooo nice x
As we were walking down The Lanes, I heard the kids say ”Oh no”. Do you know, they had spotted a yarn shop before I did!! I bought them some sweets before we went in, with the promise I wouldn’t be long, tee, hee!!! I bought this little beauty…
A ginormous ball of duck egg blue Aran. It’s 400g…….
It can be machine washed and tumble dried which is always a bonus. I’m not sure what to do with it yet?? I’ll keep you posted x
After lot’s of shopping and buying we met up with Gav and he brought us home. I dashed in the house, sorted their tea and grabbed my project to take to knit ‘n’ natter. I love Wednesday evening knit ‘n’ natter. It’s such a nice group of people to sit and well, natter with!!!
It’s great to see what everyone’s busy making…..
And it’s great to share ideas with each other…..
This is my crochet pal Sally aka Mad Sally…..
She didn’t actually crochet anything last night. Instead she caused havoc and had everyone in fits of laughter, sooo funny :)))))
It was a lovely hat and a few of us decided we wanted to make hats for ourselves. We all managed to complete our hats for last nights hat fashion show!!……
Anita, Sally(Bev), mad Sally and me wearing our gorgeous hats 🙂
At knit ‘n’ Natter I try to sit at different sides of the table each week so I can admire and plan projects with all the delicious yarn. Imagine my delight when I spotted Anitas new stock of Stylcraft DK…….
The colours are soooooo goooood. I want it all x Let’s have a few close ups….
It’s £1.60 for a 100g ball and you get 295 metres/322 yards. It goes on and on, such value for money x x
On to the crochet then. I’ve just finished these cute little owls….
They’re so cute. The pattern came from bunny mummy. Jackie has put a tutorial on her blog and it’s so easy to follow 🙂
I have also finished my bunting for the kitchen…..
I’ll share a pic of it up next week.
I’ve also been busy using up some oddments…..
And turning it from this, into these…..
315 granny circles. And then into these…..
Granny circle square goodness!
It will eventually be a king sized Granny blanket for my bed. By the time I’ve finished it, it will be Summer!!!!
My last WIP is this……
A snuggly ripple blanket. I bet you can’t guess which yarn I’m using???…..
You got it. Hoorah for Stylecraft x x x
Well I’m off now my loves, I’m in need of a cuppa and I’m itching to get some more Granny squares finished 🙂
Good night for now my loves and happy crochet x x x x
